Across the dark days, the radiant appearances of imaginary birds flicker back and forth.

Birds of Paradise is the result of a collective exchange for Stichting De Vrolijkheid, in collaboration with designer Iva Jankovic and young residents of an asylum seekers’ center in The Netherlands.

In this project, imagination, creativity, and collaboration come together in a series of visual creations that are as colourful as they are meaningful. The imaginary birds symbolise freedom, hope, and the power of imagination a poetic counterbalance to the often complex reality of life in an Refugee center.
